Prayer Focus (1)

Prayer is central to the Christian's relationship with the living God.  We want to help each other grow in our personal prayer lives – and gather to pray for our church, town, nation and world.

Prayer Focus

Join us on the first Wednesday of each month to pray. 7:30pm at St Martin's, with options for free prayer and liturgical prayer.

Prayer Courses

Lord, teach us to pray… so ask the disciples in Luke 11. They saw Jesus pray – not more, but differently – and they wanted the same.

5 weeks starting on , Thursdays 7:00-9:00pm (from 3rd October) or Fridays 10:00am-12 noon (from 4th October)

If you’ve ever wanted to ask Jesus the same question, come and join us as we explore the amazing journey of prayer. Over five weeks we will study the Bible, watch videos and put into practice as we dig deeper into the mystery of prayer, following Tyler Staton’s ‘Praying like Monks, Living like Fools’ study which runs alongside his book of the same name.

A prayer-filled life can take many forms.  During this course we will seek to establish a daily rhythm of prayer, because this becomes the soil in which the love of God flourishes. We will be exploring different ways to pray.  Jesus prayed spontaneously, and routinely, alone and with others, so we will think about different ways in which we can pray, by ourselves and together, from using apps, structured prayer, spontaneous prayer, 24/7 prayer times and spaces, and times when we gather together.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday.
We are an Anglican church in the Diocese of Norwich. and our focus is 'Loving Jesus and Sharing His Love'. Our tradition is evangelical and each of our Sunday services has a different feel.

Where and When

We have two church buildings: Cromer Parish Church (dedicated to St Peter and St Paul) in the town centre (see map here), and St Martin's, Mill Road in the Suffield Park area of town.
We welcome everyone to worship Jesus with us at our Sunday services.
When you arrive, you will be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a lanyard.

Our services at the Parish Church are:

8:45am A traditional service of Holy Communion.
10:30am An informal service, including Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
CCKids (Cromer Church Kids) meet during this service.
6:30pm The Gathering, an informal service with inspiring worship and vibrant teaching - arrive early for refreshments before we start.

At St Martin's our Sunday services are at 10:30am.

Refreshments are served at the end of all our morning services, an ideal opportunity to meet people.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on arrival if you need help. There are toilets at the rear of the church, near the refreshments servery.

What about my children?

We run CCKids (Cromer Church Kids) for ages 0-11 in the church lounge (at the rear of church) during the 10:30am service at the Parish Church. When you arrive, look out for the leaders in orange CCKids polo shirts, to register your children.
All children stay with their families at the start of the service. The service leader will announce when it’s time for the younger members to go to CCKids.

During school holidays CCKids takes a break and the 10:30am service will be suitable for all ages.

Getting Connected

Small Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings. Check out Small Groups and we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.

Serving and Volunteering

We are so grateful for the many volunteers who help to keep the church running smoothly. If you would like to get involved in the life of the church, you can sign up to serve on a team. Look at Join a Team for a snapshot of the many ways in which you can get involved.
